It seems I’m one of 379 female first-timers running the Comrades Marathon on Sunday; woman only make up 16.9% of the field which makes me glad I run in a skirt – I’m going to need all the motivation I can get…

 

Just a reminder to everyone about ways to keep in touch on Sunday:

 

• SMS my race number (43099) to 38337 to get 5 updates of my progress throughout the day.
• Check out my blog where (hopefully) there will be video updates every 21km or so.
• Watch TV – I’m the small blonde with the skirt…
• Call me (this is for those privileged/unfortunate enough to have my number and aren’t afraid to speak to my dad)

 

DON’T forget that I’m doing this crazy race for an awesome cause that would benefit from any amount donated, so don’t be shy – get the banking details off of my “Reach For Recovery” page or give me a shout so I can send you the igiveada.mn details.
